Highly specific New Zealand road sign, warning of general disturbance ahead. May mean anything from ‘gardening’, to ‘riot in progress’, to ‘road ends abruptly’. Pronounced ‘waaaaah’, and followed by sound of metal crumpling. I love these.
In all my years in New Zealand, I’d never climbed that massive hill at Castlepoint; just admired it from afar at the lighthouse end of the point. No more.
There’s nothing like an MX-5 for driving in New Zealand. Castlepoint was great today, but the road there & back…even better.
